There are client messages that make you smile.
And then there are the ones that remind you exactly why you do this work.
“When we first started this project, I thought I could design it myself. What was I thinking?”
That line made me laugh, but it also meant so much.
Because this project was never just about choosing pretty materials.
It was about creating one clear, cohesive vision and then making sure every decision supported it, from the layout and tile to the lighting, color, finishes, function, and eventually... that wallpaper.
One of the biggest shifts I see happen with clients is moving from:
“I can figure this out piece by piece.”
to:
“I can trust the process when I can see the full vision.”
And that is where design becomes so much more than decoration.
It becomes a way to create a home that feels better, functions better, and reflects the people living in it.
Hearing that the bathroom now both looks and functions beautifully is everything!!
And hearing, “I am not moving forward with anything without your help”... well, that one is staying with me for a while. 🤍
Repeat clients are the greatest compliment.
And apparently... the basement may be next.
One final layer is still coming for this bathroom, and yes, I am very impatiently waiting to see that wallpaper installed.
