Nine years ago today, I was in Phoenix, Arizona attending a mastermind meeting.

Ironically, it was one of the biggest business highs of my life.

I had just won a contest because my business had grown more than anyone else's in the room across all platforms. I was excited, overwhelmed, and honestly on top of the world.

Then everything changed.
The excitement caused my blood pressure to spike, and I suffered a hemorrhagic stroke, a brain bleed that doctors couldn't operate on.
One minute I was celebrating. The next minute I was fighting for my life.

If you've followed me for a while, you know the road back wasn't easy. There were a lot of hard days, a lot of questions, and a lot of moments when I had no idea what God was doing.

But now, nine years later, I can honestly say God wasn't finished with me.
The plans I had for myself were pretty small compared to the plans He had for me.

I've had the opportunity to meet incredible people, build friendships I never would have had, travel places I never imagined, grow businesses, encourage others, and most importantly, share my story of what God can do.

The stroke became part of my story, but it didn't get to write the ending.

So if you're going through something hard right now, don't give up. Sometimes what feels like the end is actually God redirecting your path toward something bigger than you can see.

Nine years ago today, I didn't know what my future looked like.
Today, I'm just thankful.
Thankful for every day. Thankful for every blessing. Thankful for every second chance.
And thankful that God's plans are always better than mine.
