🚿 Your dream shower starts behind the wall.

When you’re remodeling a shower, it’s easy to focus on the pretty stuff — tile, fixtures, finishes, niches and that gorgeous shower head you’ve been saving to your Pinterest board.

But one of the most important decisions happens before the walls are closed up: your shower valve.

Do you want:
✨ One control for temperature and volume?
✨ Separate controls for temperature and water flow?
✨ Multiple shower heads that can run together?
✨ A hand shower?
✨ A body spray?
✨ The ability to control each outlet independently?

These details matter because not every valve operates the same way. And once that valve is behind the wall, changing your mind can become a whole lot more expensive. 😬

My biggest tip? Talk through how you actually want your shower to function BEFORE your plumber starts rough-in.

Communicate your wish list with your contractor, plumber and showroom professional so everyone is working from the same plan.

Because a beautiful shower is great…

…but a beautiful shower that works exactly the way you want it to?

✨ Now THAT is a remodel done right. ✨

🚿 Tuesday Tip: Don’t Forget Your Tankless Water Heater!

A tankless water heater may be low maintenance, but it’s definitely not no maintenance!

Minerals and scale can build up inside the unit over time—especially if you have hard water. An annual professional service/flush helps keep your system running efficiently, can help extend its life, and helps prevent those little issues from becoming expensive repairs.

💡 Pro tip: Ask your plumber about the recommended service schedule for your specific unit and your home’s water conditions.

Tankless = endless hot water… but only if you take care of it! 😉

🚿 Tuesday Tip: Don’t forget about your faucet aerator key!

That tiny little key that came with your lavatory faucet? Keep it! 👏

It’s designed to remove the aerator at the end of your faucet, making it easy to clean out mineral buildup and debris that can affect your water flow.

✨ Pro tip: Give your aerator a little TLC every so often—especially if you have hard water. A quick clean can help keep your water flowing smoothly and your faucet looking (and working) its best.

And if you have no idea where that little key disappeared to…you’re definitely not alone. 😂

Save this one—you’ll thank me later!
