You see a lot of what happens at Mr. Fix It. Our projects, our team meetings, our fun days…and occasionally something funny that has absolutely nothing to do with construction. 😂

But we recently realized there’s something we DON’T share very often: our love and support for our community and our fellow locally owned small businesses.

We’ve never hidden it, we just never really thought to share those moments with you!

Our support for this community doesn’t stop when the workday ends. We live here, shop here, eat here and support the people and businesses that make our community feel like home. ❤️

One of those places is Vinny's New York Pizza where our Office Manager, Karen, and her husband can often be found enjoying a Vinny's Special on Friday night date night. 🍕❤️

So, we thought it was time to start sharing a little more of what we do outside of work hours and around our community.

Because supporting local isn’t something we just talk about, it’s something we actually do.

This doesn't happen very often! About 90% of our team has been with us for 5+ years, so when we have an opening, we get pretty excited to find the right person to join our crew.

We are looking for a HIGHLY EXPERIENCED CONCRETE & MASONRY PROFESSIONAL to join Mr. Fix It of Sierra Vista.

⚠️ THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY-LEVEL POSITION.

You MUST have proven experience in BOTH concrete AND masonry. We're looking for someone who knows the trade, not someone who has simply helped pour concrete or done a little block work.

What we're looking for:
🔨 Residential & commercial concrete experience
🧱 Residential & commercial masonry experience
📐 Ability to read plans and understand City/County requirements
🛠️ Must have your own standard trade tools
🤝 Great people skills and a team-first attitude
🚗 Valid driver's license & acceptable driving record
✅ Background check required
📸 PROOF OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED — photos of completed work and professional references

Decorative, stamped, stained, or textured concrete experience is a PLUS, but not required.

💰 PAY DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE

When you see a bathroom go from tired and outdated to THIS… your heart just wants to scream in approval! 😍🖤

Our client came to us with an idea: a semi-industrial look with a clever mix of white, black, and beige, modern, warm, and just a little bold. Our job? Take that vision and bring it to life.

We removed the old garden tub that was no longer being used and said goodbye to the HUGE window that offered way too much view and not nearly enough privacy. In their place? A gorgeous, spacious walk-in shower, additional storage, beautiful finishes, and yes… a toilet that pretty much does EVERYTHING.😂

But one of our favorite things about this remodel is what you don't immediately see in the pictures.

This bathroom was designed not only for today, but for the years ahead. The larger walk-in shower, improved layout, and thoughtful features give our clients greater usability and safety as they get older without sacrificing one ounce of style.

That is what a great remodel should do.

🏗️ IT’S REALLY TAKING SHAPE NOW! 🏠

All summer long, we’ve been sharing updates from our FOUR addition projects happening around Southern Arizona, and this one has been especially fun to watch come together!

The last time we shared this large addition, portions of the roof were just starting to go on. Look at it now!👀

This addition is bringing some serious space to this home, including a multi-car garage, bonus/game room, library, bathroom AND an upper viewing deck!

Right now, our drywall and stucco tradesmen are just about finished with the exterior stucco, while our crew is busy insulating and hanging drywall inside. We’ve officially reached that stage where you can really start to see each space take shape.

Our customers are excited, and so are we!

We’ve loved sharing the construction side of this project, but we have a feeling the next stages are going to be even better. Once we move into the finishing touches and interior design, this addition is going to be AMAZING. 🤩

Stay tuned…we’re definitely not done showing this one off!

A very special thank you to Bill and Kriss Hagerl for sponsoring Aaron and Karen and welcoming them into an organization that does so much for the people of Cochise County.

For us, being a local business has never been just about business. This is our home. These are our neighbors. This is the community that has trusted us, supported us, recommended us, shared our name, and allowed Mr. Fix It to continue growing year after year.

🚨 A roof leak doesn't always mean you need a whole new roof. 🚨

This homeowner noticed a leak and called us to find the source. Instead of recommending an expensive replacement, we found the problem and repaired it the right way.

Swipe through the photos to see exactly how a professional roof tile repair should be completed:

✅ Photo 1: Existing roof tiles and the failing underlayment were removed. Once exposed, we found obvious signs of moisture damage to the roof decking.

✅ Photo 2: The damaged section of roof decking was removed and replaced with new decking.

✅ Photo 3: New underlayment was properly installed over the repaired section to restore the roof's waterproof barrier.

✅ Photo 4: The existing roof tiles were carefully reinstalled, leaving our customer with a solid repair and no unnecessary replacement costs.

At Mr. Fix It of Sierra Vista, we believe in educating our community. We want homeowners to know what quality workmanship should look like because roofing isn't something you want repaired by just anyone.

The cheapest repair isn't always the least expensive in the long run. If a roof repair fails because of poor workmanship, you're often paying for the same repair twice—and sometimes even more if additional damage occurs.

🌩️ Last night's storm was a reminder of just how quickly monsoon season can turn severe here in Cochise County.

While the lightning put on an incredible show, the high winds and heavy rain that followed can leave behind roof damage, leaks, fallen fencing, siding damage, and other issues that aren't always visible from the ground.

🚧 Sometimes a plumbing repair isn't just a plumbing repair...

When we were called out to locate a damaged section of the main line, we discovered it was 8 feet underground! 😳

Our crew looks tiny standing inside that excavation, but there's a very important reason the hole is so large. It was excavated wider to ensure our plumber has a safe work area when it's time to climb down and make the repair. Safety isn't optional; it's part of doing the job the right way.

The good news? Our team is already on it. The damaged section will be repaired, inspected, and the main line will be flowing again by tomorrow morning. 💪

No matter how deep the problem is, our crew is ready to dig in and get it done.
