How Onsite Optimization Improves a Short-Term Rental Listing ⬇️

Issues I walked into:
– Dated, bulky furniture that made the space feel unclean and uninviting
– Yellow walls and outdated finishes affecting overall guest perception and pricing potential
– Lack of cohesion, resulting in underperformance within the listing portfolio

What I fixed:
– Coordinated full furniture removal and resold pieces via Facebook Marketplace to offset upgrade costs
– Repainted the unit in a clean, neutral palette with a warm accent wall to better suit the historic Southwest aesthetic
– Rebuilt the furnishing plan using mostly secondhand and repurposed pieces to improve flow, function, and cost efficiency

Result:
A fully refreshed STR unit with improved visual clarity, stronger guest appeal, and it became one of the better-performing listings in the portfolio.

Maintenance coordination is probably one of the most underestimated parts of property management.
