It’s Wise Words Wednesday!
Fuzz Wha???
Have you ever peeled up a Transfer from a surface and have it start to roll up? This is usually a sign that some stretching has occurred. To prevent the stretching you should fuzz your Transfer prior to first time use!
"Fuzzing" a Transfer: When you are using a brand new Transfer for the first time, remove the carrier sheet and gently press the Transfer, sticky side down, onto a hand towel. You can even use a pant leg in a pinch...yes, I have done this!
When you pull it off, you'll see bit of lint or "fuzz" on the back. **This will soften the stickiness and help discourage stretching when peeling the Transfer off the surface after you have used it.**
✨ The lint won't damage the Transfer, and will wash off, especially as you wipe it down with a Clorox wipe. You definitely want to take the time to "fuzz" any Transfer before applying it to a slick, nonporous surface like glass or plastic.
