Apparently, I can’t turn off my interior designer brain… even on vacation. 😊
While visiting my daughter in Israel, I kept noticing examples of the Rule of Three everywhere I looked, from groups of windows and archways to architectural details and even the way spaces were divided.
So, what exactly is the Rule of Three?
It’s a simple design principle based on the idea that objects and elements grouped in odd numbers (especially three) tend to feel more natural, interesting, and visually pleasing to the eye.
And it works just as beautifully inside your home.
Think three pillows on a sofa, three objects styled together on a shelf, three pendant lights over an island, or a grouping of artwork on a wall.
Once you start looking for it, you’ll see threes everywhere.
Take a look around your home today. Where can you spot the Rule of Three?
