And just like that, In the Absence of Space has come to a close.

Thank you to everyone who stepped through the doors at Grove Gallery to see the exhibition in person, and to everyone who supported us online with your beautiful messages, shares, and photos. Your energy truly kept us going!

It has been an absolute privilege to share this space and journey with the Evanston ASPA (Asian, South Asian, Pacific Islander American) community. In a world that can feel so fragmented, there is something profoundly beautiful about the way art bridges the gaps between us.Seeing our diverse cultures and ethnicities weave together through art over the last few weeks was incredibly moving. It’s amazing how creativity can build an instant bridge between different communities, allowing us to simply pause and appreciate one another.

A heartfelt thank you to the Evanston ASPA (Asian, South Asian, Pacific Islander American) team for curating such an amazing exhibition and bringing this vision to life.

Shoutout to my daughter Amna Bashir Ahmed for baking the best cupcakes!
