Back in the days if you needed something to finish a recipe and realized you didn’t have it, you ran to your neighbor, not the store. When payday rolled around, you took it back to the neighbor in a heaping cup. That doesn’t happen anymore. You don’t know your neighbor, in many cases. I actually don’t live close enough to any of mine but it is a sadness that those days are gone. Mama kept the coffee pot on the back of the stove, (or sassafress tea)ready to go if a neighbor dropped in and if she was cooking they were invited to stay and have a bite. Most of the time they did. The world has changed so much. As a young military wife I baked a lot and and anyone who dropped in was given coffee and a piece of cake or pie. Perhaps we need to spend more time with others around the kitchen table drinking coffee and not worried if the house is a little messy or if our decor is outdated. I sometimes get these things in my Facebook telling me what I should get rid of in my house, what dates me and should be thrown out. Of course I’m outdated! I’m old for goodness sake and I was raised when we didn’t throw things away! But I’ll offer you a cup of coffee and try to keep the cat off the chair long enough for you to sit a spell. Have a good day and be kind to yourself!

This is Barrett and Eleanor, cats that I’m fostering for my daughter and my son. Good morning everyone,
My Pampered Chef vendor events for the year have begun. Yesterday I had the pleasure of displaying at the Prairie Women's Expo in Tracy, MN. They had 69 vendors this year. It was a beautiful day outside and a great event inside.
Here is my schedule for the near future. I hope to see you at one or all of them.
Sunday, April 21st - Roundlake Vineyard from 10-4
Saturday and Sunday, April 27th & 28th - Red Baron Arena, Marshall from 9-4 on Saturday and 10-3 on Sunday
Sunday, May 5th - Key Largo from 10-4
Saturday, May 18th - Tyler, MN Windy Kitty Festival & Craft Fair from 9-4.
Don't forget there are always lots of vendors/crafters to choose from and some of these events are fundraisers for non-profit organizations.

Why are we, as a society, so quick to SUPPORT big retailers, but not our family AND friends? 🤔

Yes, I realize sometimes pricing is the factor, but remember you get what you pay💰 for! Not to mention our customer service is much better because we actually APPRECIATE your business!

I challenge each of you to purchase one thing from a friend this week instead of from a retail store! Just one thing!! ☝🏻 and shopping small on a regular basis ~ not just one day a year during the holidays! Stop giving your hard earned money to the big box stores.

Good Evening.... Did you know that there is a National Food Day for every day of the year? This will be one of the things I will be posting about in my VIP group, Sweet Treat ViPs with Lisa, along with a recipe or two. For instance, today, August 4th, 2023 is National Chocolate Chips Cookie Day. So, I would maybe post a chocolate chip cookie recipe and/or a recipe using chocolate chip cookies somehow. I will be posting these kinds of things starting next week in my VIP group, don't forget to join!!!!
