Of all the titles Don held and all the jobs he had throughout his life, we think the one he was best at was simply Grandpa. ❤️

Not everyone got to see this side of him—the silly, soft, completely wrapped-around-their-little-fingers side.

As we get closer to Don’s Celebration of Life, we want to share a few special memories of him along the way. ❤️

This was from Milton’s 75th anniversary, when Don received the Spotlight Award — and there he is, right where you’d expect him, behind the wheel of the Milton’s truck in the parade.

He was so proud of Milton’s, its history, and the community that made 75 years possible. ❤️

🇺🇸 In observance of Labor Day, Milton’s will be closed Saturday–Monday, September 5–7, and will reopen Tuesday at 9 AM.

As we head into the holiday weekend, we simply want to say thank you for your business. We are incredibly grateful for every customer who has walked through our doors—over these past few months and throughout the years. It is truly an honor to serve Smithville and our surrounding communities.

We’re taking a little time away to get the family together and do some fishing. ❤️

We have a feeling Don’s up there pulling a few strings and sending the BIG ones our way. 🎣😉 We’ll be making memories, telling stories, and probably arguing over who caught the biggest fish — just the way he’d want us to.

On behalf of Patty, Jennifer, Jaime, and Eleanor Mutschink, we would like to invite our family, friends, and community to join us as we celebrate the extraordinary life of Don Milton Mutschink. 🤍

First, we want to thank everyone for giving our family the time and space we needed following Don’s unexpected passing. Your prayers, messages, kindness, patience, and love have meant more to us than we could ever put into words.

Now, we are ready to come together and celebrate him.

Don left a mark on so many of the people who crossed his path. Whether you knew him for a lifetime, worked beside him, did business with him, shared a story or a laugh with him, or simply had the privilege of knowing him somewhere along the way—if Don meant something to you, we would love for you to be there.

This day is about remembering the stories, the laughter, the friendships, the lessons, and the countless ways Don made an impact on the people around him.

Please come help us celebrate a man who was so deeply loved and a life that meant so much to so many.
