It's official: we're reopening our doors on Wednesday! The Yarn Maven will return to regular hours next week: Wednesday 12-8pm and Thursday - Saturday 10am-4pm. I'm so excited to meet you, please make a plan to stop by and say hello!

The Yarn Maven is still temporarily closed. We're working hard to get everything transitioned behind the scenes but we need a little more time. We'll send out an update as soon as we can. Thank you for understanding!

A new chapter for The Yarn Maven -

It's about time I introduce myself: I'm Natalie and (someone should pinch me because surely I'm dreaming when I say...) I'm the new owner of The Yarn Maven! Sue is retiring and I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to continue the business she has so lovingly and skillfully built. All of us at The Yarn Maven have been working hard to make this transition in ownership as smooth as possible. We are still working behind the scenes and I'll send updates throughout the week about when to expect the store (physical and online) to be open again. Much more to come from me but for now just know that I am excited, humbled, and deeply grateful for this opportunity. I would love for you to come on this journey with me - let's make beautiful things out of yarn and love together. ❤ 🧶

Hello friends!

There are some amazing changes happening here at The Yarn Maven, and we need a few days to make the magic happen.

The shop will reopen next week.

For the next few days, the website is available for informational purposes only (especially about Marie Greene's KAL that starts on July 1!). We are doing maintenance, and online ordering is turned off for this short period.

We promise that we are working very hard to get it done as quickly as possible, (Especially Haley; please send Starbucks...)

We love you all and can't wait to see you in the shop, or your name in our online orders again!

Admit it. Some days in July are just too hot to enjoy the outside. Or maybe we're on vacation and want to take some time to relax and knit.

We have a project for you, the Watermark Sweater by Marie Greene. It's her 10th annual 4 day KnitALong, which starts on July 1.

We love the 4 Day KAL - but here at The Yarn Maven, we don't do it in 4 days. We've found that a month is much more reasonable, and yes, you can knit a sweater in one month!

We'll be knitting the Watermark sweater throughout the month of July. Choose the version you prefer, either a cardigan or pullover.

We have three options for you to make this a social event!

1. Join us in person at the shop on Wednesday evenings in July from 6 to 8pm.

3. Post your progress on our weekly Facebook thread along with a photo.

Which ever way(s) you choose to participate, we're here to cheer you on!

Be sure to order your yarn soon so you can swatch ahead of time to be ready to cast on with us on July 1!
