I honestly don’t even know where to start, so I guess I’ll just get right to it.
As of today, The Secondhand Crayon will be temporarily closed until further notice.

“Heartbroken” doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel — but I also know this isn’t goodbye. It’s just the end of one chapter in this beautiful adventure and the beginning of another.

Having faith isn’t always easy, but the peace that comes with trusting God’s timing gives me rest. I truly believe something even more amazing is on the horizon. 💛

In the meantime, I’ll still be offering vinyl by the sheet, large-scale lamination, custom shirts, decals, and more — so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything!

✨ A Personal Update from The Secondhand Crayon ✨

Friends, I want to be transparent with you. The past season has been incredibly hard for me personally, and I know it’s shown in the store. I haven’t been as present as I’d like, and I feel the impact that has had on you—my amazing customers, friends, and students.

This little shop was built to bring people together through creativity, and it breaks my heart that I haven’t been able to pour into it (or you!) the way I want to. Please know it’s not from lack of love or passion—it’s simply that life has thrown me some challenges I’ve been working through.

I’m taking things one step at a time, and I want you to know: I see you, I miss you, and I appreciate every bit of patience and grace and support you’ve shown. Thank you for sticking with me and with The Secondhand Crayon.

Friends, I want to take a moment to apologize for not being as consistent with shop hours these past few weeks. After my car accident and everything that followed—doctor’s appointments, insurance, and replacing my vehicle—it’s been a lot to juggle. For those that do not know I am also a mom of 5.

I truly appreciate your patience,grace, understanding while I’ve been working through it all. 💛 Your support means the world, and I’m looking forward to getting back into a more steady routine at the shop.

Want a spooky statement wall without breaking the bank? Here’s how:

🎃 Grab some old thrifted frames (any size/shape works!)
🎃 A can of black spray paint (instant creepy chic)
🎃 Doilies or lace (white or black — looks like spiderwebs!)
🎃 Optional: add a few plastic spiders for extra creep factor 🕷️

Just spray the frames, pop the lace/doily inside like artwork, and hang! Perfect backdrop for pumpkins, candles, and all your Halloween vibes.

Cheap. Easy. Spooky. ✔️
