Most homes don’t need more storage. They need better systems.

This project started as a virtual consult back in December. We worked through ideas together, the client did the hands-on work, and I later got the best kind of follow-up: before & after photos and a whole lot of gratitude.

Helping someone turn a frustrating space into one that actually works is why I do this.

And here’s the funny part: helping this client finally pushed me to tackle a cabinet in my own home too. Is it “Pinterest-perfect”? Probably not. Is it functional, efficient, and saving us time and money every single day? Absolutely.

And the best part?
This wasn’t an expensive overhaul.

A lot of the time, the solution isn’t buying more. It’s shopping your own home. Purging what no longer serves you, rehoming items to spaces that make more sense, and finding better ways to organize the things you already have. In this case, the client’s investment was minimal. A few well-chosen bins for function and that was it.

Less searching.
Less rebuying things you already own.
Less wasted time (because yes, time is money).

Christmas has always been one of my favorite holidays—but last year I was over it before Thanksgiving. With three store locations, Christmas started in July… wholesale ordering, décor planning, displays, markets—it was too much holiday hustle and my home suffered because of it.

This year, I knew my limits and stuck to them—even if it meant skipping markets where I’ve made most of my holiday sales. And honestly? It has been the complete opposite experience in the best way.

Decorating the shop with my amazing loft team ( & ) has never been more fun. And at home, I’ve been more creative, nostalgic, thoughtful, and cozy with our Christmas décor. I change things a little every year, and this year feels like the best Christmas décor yet.
Fresh lush greenery from our backyard, cedar garlands that smell like magic, tiny collections from over the years tucked onto shelves (hello nutcrackers and vintage Santas), and simple Christmas touches everywhere.

And yes… the sleigh bells the kids found in a tree years ago are back on display. We never figured out how to return them to Santa—so now they’re a special family tradition.
