I have to say, this is probably my favorite quilt ever. Many decades ago I wanted to learn to embroider, so my mom Sue Maynard taught me. I never got the hang of the French knots (I always pulled them too tight) or the lazy daisy (see above lol), but I managed to make some pillowcases and potholders and such. I guess that's why I like this one so much. I appreciate all the hours that went into each tiny stitch, and there are hundreds and hundreds of tiny stitches. It took my friend Shirley a year to make the blocks, and she sat on it for another year before she handed it over to me. She's not on Facebook, but I'll text her some pictures.
