Ruth ware did it again, Turn of the Key is a psychological thriller that will have you at the edge of your seat asking what the f… is going on here. This book had all the main aspects to be a good scary thriller: Haunted old mansion, multiple dead in the past, creepy housekeeper, no nanny would last more than a week ( very suspicious), very spoiled and mean kids.
When Rowan saw an ad for a stay-in house nanny job, she thought that was the opportunity of a life time, the pay, bonus, and vacation offered were too good to be true. And indeed they were, from the moment she gets hired to the moment a child dies and she is in prison for a crime she didn’t commit. What happened in that house? Did she have something to hide? Did she killed the child, or is she as innocent as she claims to be? And if she didn’t do it, who did? You will be asking these questions throughout the whole book.
4 stars it starts slow, but then it starts to pick up. Highly recommended it ❤️
