Interior design rule #1: Never rely on just a single overhead light. 💡 ✨

If a room is feeling a little flat, you just need to layer these four types of lighting:

⚜️Ambient: The overall baseline glow (recessed lights or flush mounts).

⚜️Task: Focused light where the work happens (under-cabinet strips or reading lamps).

⚜️Accent: The drama-maker that highlights art, texture, or architectural details.

⚜️Decorative: The “jewelry” of the room (statement chandeliers or sculptural pendants).

When you combine all four on dimmers, you get layered lighting—the secret to making any space feel warm, moody, and professionally designed.

The secret to a seamless build or renovation is seeing the final space before buying a single piece. Visualizing lighting, scale, and material harmony upfront eliminates guesswork and elevates the end result.

While floorplans and 3D renders get all the love, creating and maintaining comprehensive Design Guides is where the real seamless magic happens. ✨💻
