The final tally is in for February! As a collective, we raised $370 for Southwest Detroit Immigrant & Refugee Center! Thank you so much to everyone that has contributed, my mind is blown!

This project will be on-going and evolving. The goals are simple: we make crafts, you buy them, and 100% of the proceeds go to mutual aid organizations. There are plenty of needs to be met, especially with smaller organizations within our communities. We will mostly be focusing on Metro Detroit/Michigan, please feel free to suggest your favorite non-profits!

Kristen and I will be working on crafts and updating availability in our free time. We have so many creative and fun ideas in the think tank! Stay tuned for more nuggets of joy and Good Trouble. ✨️💖✨️

Our new Super Natural Simmer Pot Kits have been a hit! Last week we shipped out TEN to one customer who fell in love with them at ! These kits are made with completely natural ingredients - dried citrus, herbs, spices, botanicals, and essential oils. 🍊🌹🌸🌼🌿

They are super simple and last for a few days to bring fragrance and intention to your space. Simply add the contents of the bag to a pot of water, heat on low, and add more water as it evaporates! Turn off when you are away/ sleeping, and cover with a lid until the next day.

Availability of simmer pot kits may vary as I dehydrate the fruit myself (takes time!). I'll also be adding homegrown herbs and botanicals as the season changes. If you don't know, our yard is !

STUDIO PICKUP AVAILABLE THIS WEEK! DM to set up a time, we can meet you there. We are not actively working this week, so we will not be there without a scheduled meeting time.

SHIPMENTS for orders will continue to go out through Friday, December 26th. After that we are on vacation mode until January 5th for some rest and recovery!

I'm being silly because what a delight to be a full time candlemaker?! But also, this is a physical job and it is exhausting to be "on" 6 days a week. The reality is, I only pour 3-4 hours every day. The rest of the time is spent doing admin, prep, social media, meetings, driving, or sales/markets. It's still a big change in output from years past, and I am impressed with myself. 😂

We've been in business for almost 5 years so it feels appropriate to introduce ourselves. Hi! I'm Cait, this is Jim. I founded Good Faith Handmade because I was enjoying making candles during 2020 when I was an unemployed massage therapist. I have an excellent nose (I'm also super humble) and a passion for finding fragrances that spark joy for anyone and everyone. "Good faith" means to do something with your best intentions and has absolutely nothing to do with any religions. Just us, mixing up and pouring some incredible smelling wax for you to enjoy at your leisure. Fun! Thanks for being here and hanging out with us!

Surprise! I started the online only Cyber Monday deal a few hours early! ✨️😀✨️

Not to ruin the vibe, but I do need to increase prices ASAP. I've known for a couple weeks and have been dreading making the posts and updating the Etsy. There's been a significant jump in material cost, so we'll be restructuring our pricing and market bundle deals this week. I truly appreciate everyone that has shopped online already this weekend, it made me happy to see familiar names and know those sales came unprompted. You just wanted to shop small and within your community! Thank you for making the effort. 💖
