Hey y'all. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I've still got a number of goods ready for purchase. Meat flippers, kiridashi knives, plant hangers, and the ever beautiful Eternal Blooms. I've got 6 of these amazing flowers left for your enjoyment. Some are displayed in the Fragrant Mushroom Gallery. They will open again on Jan 5th. Can't wait? Message me and I can meet with you in Sparta or Cookeville for any goods you'd like.

My final art piece of 2025, I'm calling Window Watcher. It is inspired by the play Neverland. This piece will be on display at Cookeville Performing Arts Center Jan 5-31, during their production of Neverland, and will be available for purchase during and after the exhibit.

What better way to support your commuinty than by shopping local for the holidays?

I've got 3 more of these Eternal Blooms in stainless steel. Get your loved one a gift that will be around longer than we will. These art pieces will outlast us and be gifts to future generations. Polished and flame painted, these flowers show a blast of color that a camera just can't capture. All come mounted to a wormy, maple wood base. The tunnels carved out by tiny insects have given the bases a beautifully unique look that can't be replicated.

The stainless steel can be hard to work but the result is amazing. As such, I can only make these in small batches. So the time to grab one is when you see it.

$125 each. Can meet in Cookeville.

Fresh off the bench! Custom designed leg armor. These are made from two layers of 14oz waxed leather. They're used for sport fighting in the Society for Creative Anachronism, a medieval reenactment group.

Leather is a beautiful medium. Leather armor, specifically, is my newest love. On the left leg is Eithyrnir, the Cosmic Stag. He lives on the roof of the mead hall in Valhalla and eats the leaves of Yggdrasil. On the right leg is Odin and Sliepnir. Sliepnir is the 8 legged steed of the Allfather and capable of crossing into other realms.

Would anyone be interested in a leatherwork class? Let me know and comment below. Share this with your Dungeons and Dragons friends. Wish me luck at the tournament this weekend!

The pattern was made by Dark Horse Workshop.

Hello Upper Cumberlands.

Join me this Saturday, Oct 11th at Dogwood Park in Cookeville for their Shakespeare in the Park event! Each year the Cookeville Performing Arts Center puts on a weeklong production in the amphitheater. The play this year looks amazing.

Not only will there be the play and some merchant tables, but also HEAVY ARMORED COMBAT and RAPIER COMBAT! Your local SCA group, The Shire of Easareigh, will be there demonstrating what medieval tournaments were like. Come cheer on your favorite fighter as they battle for honor and glory! Check out our Arts and Sciences table and ask all the questions. Merchant tables and SCA demo will run 2-6pm and the play starts at 7pm.

Ive been forging my butt off getting things ready for this event. I'll have some wicked cool bottle openers, fire pokers, pigtails for the BBQ, and tons of other stuff.

Hey y'all. The theme for the Putnam County Fair this year is "Party like it's '99." So tonight, we party like it's 1399!

Come by my booth in the Barnyard and get a picture with an armored fighter! Let's talk about the SCA, medieval weapons and armor, and the importance of the blacksmith throughout history.

The booth closes at 9. See you there!

Welcome to the Putnam County Fair!

Well folks, it's that time of year again! You know, the time of year when we eat too much funnel cake and put our faith in poorly assembled carnival rides. When it's time to take a break from the midway come visit me in the Barnyard.

I've got knives, sculptures, mokume jewelry, and tons of other stuff for sale. I'll be here until the 9th and doing demonstrations nightly. I'll see y'all there!

Making some more Mokume Gane bracelets today. It's a Japanese technique that means "Wood grain metal."

These are made from layering copper and nickel. After forge welding the layers together the billet is drawn out. Then the grain is manipulated, this time they were twisted. When all the hot work is done they are pre-polished, take an acid bath, then receive a final polish. Lots of work in these little guys.

As the bracelets are worn they will patina and develope their own patterns, making the nickel swirls stand out even more. These are super popular items and they sell as fast as I can make them. I'll be making more and have them ready for the Putnam County Fair. Can't wait? I have 4 ready to go.
