Hello friends! Needless to say it’s been a crazy week with weather and my mom being in the hospital for the last nine days (with surgery yesterday). Owning a store (and taking care of aging parents) is not for the faint of heart. The decision every day whether to open or close or to pay someone is very difficult.

We weren’t sure if anyone was gonna shop today because of the roads/cold and I need to get to the hospital. So our solution is that if you really wanna come in and shop, please message me here on this page or message Robert and he is on site and will let you in to shop! We really would love to see you and appreciate if you want to shop. 🙏🥰

I hate to do this again, but with the roads being the way they are, the cold, salt not working, and our parking spaces aren’t plowed yet, I think it’s best if we don’t open. I also may need to go help get my mom from the hospital to a rehab center.

I really do miss y’all but stay inside and cozied up if you can!!

We are open for business! The street is closed a block east of us but not in our block. When you turn onto our street from State St/Sparta Ave, you’ll see the road closed sign, but you can get to our store. Coming from the west, you can get to us; coming from the east you’ll just have to do the quick detour.

Open tonight (Wednesday) from 6:30-8:30 for a book club if you’d like evening hours to shop!

Happy New Year! 🎉 2025 is in the rear view mirror! For me, it was a year with highs and lows, making it bittersweet. But the good news is - we can look forward with anticipation to exciting things and growth that will happen in 2026 and we’re bringing you all along for the ride! Thanks for following and supporting small business. 🙏❤️

What is Abode Reinvented?

For those who have known me for a long time, this will not be a surprise. I am a creative and need to create. In the last 30 years, I’ve been an interior design, flower designer, manager and buyer for a high-end accessory store and, more recently, photographer. Although I am extremely grateful for my tech support job with SmugMug, it is not an creative outlet!

I’ve always loved antique and thrift stores as well as “picking” and digging for that perfect item. My design style has always been eclectic - definitely walking to the beat of my own unique drum. :) For now, my booth is many items from my own home with fun stuff added in. I can’t wait to fill it with more of the urban farmhouse, “fixer upper” look!

I will also be offering bigger pieces that I find that don’t fit in the booth. Eventually, my dream is to have a storefront to house all of the perfect finds for your home!
