I have been doing some fun design work with a variety of clients but not taking the time to post about it here—the balance of life…am I right?!?
These clients are slowly working through their South Hill Craftsman and making it work better for them and their large, ever-evolving family. As one son left for college, the debate over bedroom use began. Ultimately the decision was made to make it a full-time office with a trundle-bed for when the older kids come home.
The client wanted something cozy with saturated color, woods and leather. His office was located below the porch and now it is above the porch—so he has a big, beautiful window with a lovely view of Spokane. On one of his first days using the new space, a colleague asked him if he was working from a posh hotel room (a corner of the bed was showing in the screen background) and Scott could happily answer ‘No, this is my new office.’
