♥️TODAY’S THE DAY Y’ALL. We’ll be open to the public today, Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 12:00-5:00. I’ll CLOSE our signature pink door for the last time.

While this decision was gut-wrenching, it feels like relief too. Nothing is ever black and white. While I LOVED bringing an idea to reality, I did not enjoy the stress of keeping a brick and mortar operation running. As you may know, I am a Realtor, (I always tell people that’s my “real job”). I found running the shop WAY more stressful than even the toughest real estate transaction I’ve ever handled.

Sure, leaving my space is sad. After all, I remodeled it before I opened, but the part that hurts is saying farewell, (for now), to all of our lovely regular customers. Before opening my shop, I often felt like an outsider as a sensitive person who prefers to talk about plants, gardening and interior design. Meeting so many kindred spirits of all ages, many who I consider friends now, has made me feel seen and accepted.

This video by totally expresses how I feel about the ending of this era. My heart is truly at peace about the end of this season of my life. I am proud of what we built. I view it as a box checked on my long list of dreams.

I’m taking a brief vacation to listen to some ocean waves and soothe my soul. I’m hoping to return home feeling rested, energized and inspired for my next adventure. Please continue following to see where life takes me next, (it will definitely include plants).

Rather than paying for more shopping bags, I will be doing my part to reduce waste by reusing existing bags to send you home with your purchases on Friday and Saturday. I knew this bag hoard would pay off someday! Ha!

🦋FINAL FAREWELL SALE🦋

We will CLOSE our signature pink door at our pretty little plant and gift shop for good on June 20, 2026.

😬YIKES! It’s getting REAL y’all. The STORE CLOSING banner went up yesterday. Our pal and favorite handyman, Rick, has been busy taking down all of our gold track lights, gold display rails, wall shelves, etc. that he installed for me just over 2 years ago. I’m pleased that they’ll go to good use as you’ll see them, along with many of our display fixtures and tables soon in a cool new boutique and new coffee shop coming to the area. 😊

Thank you Rick for all of the little details you’ve handled that created the vibe in my shop. Also, thanks for happily putting up with my requests to “scootch things a quarter of an inch that way” or “please, I’ll die if you scratch the paint”, commentary. 😁

♥️🥹 Y’all yesterday was such a SPECIAL DAY at the shop. So many of our wonderful customers visited to hug me and say such lovely supportive words. Everyone has made me feel so excited about the next adventure, (please keep following for more on that soon). Anyone who has visited and said some version of, “I’m so sad you’re closing”, has heard me say, “I’m not sad anymore. My heart is at peace and I’m excited for my next chapter.” And then, these 3 ladies all happened to walk-in at the same time. They are 3 unrelated women, they don’t each other. They are some of our best customers and they’ve all become so dear to my heart. When the third one walked in, I shouted, “Oh my gosh - it’s a trifecta!” When I asked them to pose for a picture, I immediately became choked up and began crying as I thanked them and told them each that I loved them. THIS is the part that I’m going to miss when I close my pretty little plant and gift shop. These ladies and so many others have truly become friends during these past 2 years at the shop. Besides the visit from Susan, Darla and Emily, (pictured here), our sweet friend Sarah visited with a beautiful flower arrangement and card. Our pal, Tracy visited. Our pal Dara visited and so many others too. Cute little Mochi, (the pup pictured), and his person, Will, visited. My heart is bursting with gratitude for the way so many of you have visited, messaged me and called to share the most beautiful sentiments with me. I just can’t say it enough… THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING Y’ALL. My cup runneth over. ♥️ ~Tanya
