Bring those summer beach backgrounds to life with some fun ink-blending, and set the stage for and under-the-sea adventure!

Today’s gorgeous summertime card design is from Donna, who is bringing all the inky goodness! Donna said, “Living in sunny Florida, it’s pretty much impossible not to be inspired by all thing’s ocean and sea life. This card totally captures those happy, underwater vibes with the cutest sea creatures that instantly make me smile.” We love the way she colored it up and that background really makes everything else pop! This is a great contrast to yesterday’s design by Shelly, which used the same “Under the Sea” creatures against a white background. Both beautiful designs, done differently! We love when a card background gets fancy and becomes its own work of art. Piece your favorite paper together for a unique design.

Today we have a sunny card from our designer, Amy, who says, “Summer days and traveling to the different islands that surround the Pacific Northwest is a family favorite. I love how you can use the Tropical Dreams 6×6 and instantly transform something to a tropical paradise.” We love this technique and how she utilized the postage stamp cover to create silhouettes for each paper piece. Take your summer cards to the next level by combining florals and subtle hints of the ocean air. Mix in a little sand, and you have a masterpiece.

We have a gorgeous nod to summer with today’s stunning floral card creation by Kassie. She shared, “There is something calming about walking on the beach, and listening to the waves. I’ve tried to recreate a bit of that magic in this card, and I even included some real sand!” We love her use of the Flourish stencil and how it mimics with breeze and waves of the ocean. Sometimes our cards can lean into the whimsical and not so literal, and this card *feels* like a stroll down the summer beach boardwalk.

Brass and Bliss has so many amazing layered floral stamps and they go well with our Color Fuse Inks- but why not experiment with the reinkers and create an ink pad color combo of your very own?

Today’s beautiful floral card creation comes from our designer Kendra. One of Kendra’s favorite things about summer is flowers. Besides crafting she has an obsession for flowers! Kendra has been adding a lot of beautiful coneflowers to her landscape the last few years!! Because of this, she found it fitting to feature the lovely ‘38023 Layered Echinacea’ stamp set in todays card creation. You could easy just stamp the images with ink pads, but Kendra decided to create her own ink pads using our reinkers and some baby wipes which gives a fun ‘fake’ watercolor look. If you have never tried this, we highly recommend experimenting and getting crafty. Follow along to see how Kendra created this beautiful floral card on the blog.brassandbliss.com
