Feeling extra grateful today reflecting on everything with our baby boy turning 5 months yesterday … he was 9 weeks old when we got back to our events. And I was 9 weeks postpartum …
In hindsight, my body, my brain, my anxiety - I’m not sure I was really ready. But you do what you need to do. And my lil guy was as good as can possibly be through that event, like he knew 😭 Every single event he’s with us - watching whilst we run around prepping, sitting there through set up, staying up with us until the nights are over… markets, paint-a-pots, art fairs….
And between the events are all the hours of making and prepping - the throwing, slipcasting, trimming, firing, glazing, sanding, pricing, load ins, breaks downs etc. Clay doesn’t wait for us and timing can be tricky. Many 4am nights…
Alllllll of which is just to say, I’m just so so grateful for my beautiful boy. It’s not easy for us, and I know it can’t be easy for him. But as we try to find our rhythm, he’s along for the crazy ride.
And thank you to all of the businesses & organizations, staff at those venues/events, and all our customers who have shown such patience, kindness, support and generosity during these first 5 months of parenthood and doing business with a baby. We are so so thankful, it means everything ❤️
