Love this piece of C-Street history.
Our storefront is located right across the street from Lindberg’s. They have the best burgers and their Sunday Brunch draws in the crowds. 🍔🍺

On this day … in 2007, Lindberg's Tavern opened its doors once again!

Lindberg’s Tavern, a Commercial Street landmark since the late 1870s, first opened its doors during the booming railroad era, serving the workers, travelers, and locals who filled the streets of what was then North Springfield. With the Frisco shops nearby, Lindberg’s became a true railroad saloon—tin ceilings, a long wooden bar, and more stories than the walls could hold.

Through Prohibition, neighborhood changes, and more than a century of ups and downs, Lindberg’s remained one of the most iconic gathering places in the city, whether it was a saloon, brothel, grocery store, billiards, soft drinks bar, tap room, tavern, or flea market.

After a period of closure, the tavern entered a new chapter when it reopened in 2007, restoring its historic charm while bringing fresh energy back to Commercial Street.
