My beautiful fight began on December 19, 2011 in the time span of a couple weeks I was told that I had a large tumor choking out my spinal cord and paralyzing me from the waist down. They had little hope that I would ever walk again, but scariest of all I had an extremely rare spinal cancer that there were only 50 other cases of in the world. With the help of God, friends, family, my community, my
medical team, two surgeries, months of physical therapy, and 5 weeks of radiation, I was able to beat cancer and relearn how to walk. What I learned at that time changed my life; that the worst ugliest hardest and most difficult thing of my life could eventually become the most beautiful. Now with the help of my partner, friends, and family, we apply the same thought to our home décor and woodworking. We take the unwanted, beaten up, ugly, rusty, and forgotten pieces and return them to a state a beauty. Whether or not it's a piece that is made out of reclaimed wood or new lumber, we try to take simple and natural approaches to our designs. We try to reduce and reuse as much as possible even down to the screws we use! This not only has a positive impact on our environment and community but to your wallet as well.
