Lowcountry Wallcoverings & Design is owned and operated by Maude Hinely. Maude has spent the last 28 years working as an interior designer in Savannah and on Hilton Head Island, S.C., exclusively for builders. In 2009 she opened a store in Savannah on Stephenson Avenue to serve the design industry with wallcoverings and Fabrics.

ving a big impact on the design market.” Lowcountry Wallcoverings sold their location in Savannah and has purchased a Historical Building in Springfield Ga to relocate her business. This project has taken a few years to overhaul and finally is open back up for retail business. Offering our clients fine home gifts and lamps, and a complete design studio to cater to all styles. Maude takes pride in offering hand picked home furnishing, from wallpaper to accessories, affordable for all. As a native Southerner, Maude’s shop is filled with unique gifts which represent the Southern hospitality. We strive to get what you need and will go out of our way to find that hard to find fabric and wallcoverings. Maude’s design philosophy is that it doesn’t
matter what size budget you have. You can always have a beautiful home to be proud of. “You should enjoy every opportunity that comes with building or remodeling; for many this comes only once in a lifetime.” A home should be a reflection of a client’s tastes, life journeys and true personality. It is the biggest compliment to me as a designer to have a homeowner walk into their home and experience the “wow factor.’”

Maude has been involved in many projects in Savannah, Hilton Head,Tybee Island to Tennessee. She mainly focuses on residential projects; however, she does have commercial projects she has done and can get all commercial materials. Maude is a big believer in supporting locally owned businesses, especially those owned and operated by women. “I feel that it is important for women to support each other. We can be successful as wives, mothers and career women and have a balance that allows us to be exceptional women in our community. It is very inspirational to interact with other working women.”
