Transparency Post:
This time last year I became really discouraged after seeing many of you all go out and spend money with Bath & Body Works. Not because I don’t think that they have nice candles and some really great sales, but because I had bust my a** last year and the years prior creating and putting love into making the very best candles and candle products that I could offer you all. Each order made with thoughtfulness and pride. Only to see that the sales that I had put on for my small black-owned candle business going unnoticed.
It frustrated me, saddened me, and even caused me to stop making candles. As some of you may know, I didn’t produce a single candle from December of 2022 until til October of 2023 due to feeling like it was “no longer worth it”. Well in October of this year I did a subtle “relaunch” if you will and my candle sales took off yet again. I honestly couldn’t and still can’t keep up lol with you all’s candle demands. Some of y’all have called me, emailed me, texted me, or even flat out asked me in person “So what’s up with my candles?” Lol and for that I love y’all.
So this year during National Candle Day or Weekend I’m not going to avoid social media. I’m going to remain positive and optimistic all while keeping my head held high knowing that I have amazing products and even more amazing customers and supporters who love them some Candlelit by Tiff. I’m in this for the long haul and I’m not going anywhere. With that being said, I had the honor of being interviewed by Voyage STL Magazine so please support my candle business this year by taking some time to read about my entrepreneurial journey.
