The world has shifted. To all of my flower followers that haven't heard much from me lately IN ADDITION TO GROWING FLOWERS, I've been growing something even more beautiful- community and trying to make the world a better place. I created a separate presence called High Frequency World - high_frequency_world. To make the world match what's in our hearts, we need to remember who we are. If that resonates with you and you can't find your community, come see what we're doing. If that doesn't (yet), I will continue to live and thrive in both worlds. A world of flowers, but also limitless possibilities. Love, Luli

We need more love in this world. Right now. No more division or intolerance. We need community, understanding and collaboration for what is to come. My heart has felt ripped apart reading about all the most horrific things happening to girls, kids and babies, children and young women, and I can't understand why my community isn't saying a word. Just because it's too hard to accept that this has happened and IS happening doesn't make it not real. It is real. Unfortunately. It's really real and yes it is easier to look away or pretend it isn't real, but that is a disservice to your own soul. I choose to stand with and witness this horrific era of humanity not because it feels good because it feels like walking through hell. I tried to talk to a good friend about this and she said 'what does it have to do with me?', and for anyone else who is tempted to say the same thing, it has to do with your humanity. Your decency. I grow flowers and if you're reading this, probably you do too. You maybe also have children or babies. If that is the case, then you cannot stay in a bubble of silence and denial. For all the love of nature, beauty, goodness and what is right, get out of your comfort zone and get engaged. This is real. It is happening and I need you to be the good people I believe you are. This isn't about politics, sides, class, race or agenda. This is good versus evil. We are the good guys. The rest of us need you to be active and present if we're going to make a difference. Get online. Read. Do research. Talk to other people. Now is the time to let love rule. This vileness and evil cannot withstand the light we can bring if we all stand together. In defiance of the sadness of my soul, I made cookies to decide that I can walk in the darkness and not let it consume me. I can still find my way back into the light, and it feels so much brighter. Please join me. Let's grow something amazing together.

Growing for Weddings Part 4 - in this month's Growing for Market Magazine ☺️

"You’ve done the research, now let’s get you seen.

In Part Two, we covered crop planning and partnerships. Now that you know who you’d like to sell to, the next step is helping them find you. We’re creating your business’s ‘bat signal’ to let everyone know you, what you grow and your unique superpowers.

How you want to fit into the wedding ecosystem (selling to florists / wholesalers / designers / DIY brides) determines where you need to be seen. How you promote your flowers depends on who you want to sell to."

Fall is here and it's pampas and wild grass time. Foraged floral designs are my favorite with a teeny weeny bit of help from out heirloom mums, and wild celosia. No money spent. I built it from everyday things I had on hand. Art in Bloom, here's my application for next year....

Enormous gratitude to St. Louis Public Radio and NPR for the opportunity to speak to a national audience about the effects of tariffs on the floral industry. I feel honored to be highlighted and to be in the company of other amazing local flower growers and designers. If you need another reason to support local agriculture and to buy flowers from local growers, this is your Slow Flowers moment 🥰. https://www.npr.org/2025/05/21/nx-s1-5393911/tariffs-on-flowers-likely-mean-higher-prices-but-opportunity-for-local-farmers Thank you Marissanne and Brian for the words, visuals and willingness to spend a day through the looking glass🥰.
