Snow days on the weekend make the best days for blocking a couple months worth squares for my 2025 and work on the new ones for current reads.

Blocking is especially important to give the squares symmetrical measurements when they are made from mixed yarns. All have been made with yarn from my stash from various makers but similar weights (worsted).

Merging my 2 favorites - reading and crocheting. This year I’ll be working on a as I crochet squares to match the covers of books I read.

I chose a 3 color square pattern to limit the ends that need to be woven in 🤣 and so far I’ve used only yarn from my stash, which is surprising me. Who knew I had so many color options?!
