Was able to go see the final installation of “A Library in the Woods” this week with my incredible summer assistant Tommy Walls at Edythe Dyer Community Library in Hamden, Maine. Could not have done this without him and the incredible community turnout to support this special library that sits in the woods on the Penobscot River. The community submitted drawings and ideas based on a library in the Maine Woods and these were turned into a multi panel design to greet you on the walking trails behind the library. Originally slated to be installed on the entry side of the newly renovate library the new siding situation would not suite the panels so we pivoted and used the storage building at the back of the property as well as created 5 panels mounted on poles to lead you back to the mural and trails. Big shoutout to the librarian and staff at the library as well as the town works crew for making this happen. It take a village 💪 🎨 🌈 💚 !
