White oak is one of the most versatile hardwoods for flooring.

White oak holds color from deep and shadowed, to soft grey, to something close to its natural grain. That range gives a designer real freedom to build a custom tone or choose one of our custom colors.

The floors in this stunning project designed by Comfort Designs and built by Prestige Custom Builder are engineered, with a 4mm wear layer that refinishes up to three times.

White oak. Heirloom grade. 8″ widths, 2–12′ lengths. Center-cut American hardwood, made in the USA. Engineered floors are all MAS Green Certified and CARB2 Compliant.

Wide open. Warm through every room.

This Texas home by LE Construction, LLC was built for beauty and longevity — and the floor had to earn both.

Carlisle engineered white oak, finished on-site in a fully custom color. 8" wide planks, 2–12' in varied lengths — lengths made possible because this floor is made in the USA.

The thick tongue and groove profile is built around a 4mm solid hardwood wear layer — center-cut North American white oak, the same material as our solid floors. MAS-Green Certified. Refinishable. Built to last.

Every part of our production is in the U.S.

We do not take for granted that we have what we have because of the men and women who have made the greatest sacrifice. We show up every day with dedication and gratitude.

This floor has a story sunlight helped write.

This D.C. Residence — designed by Frank Babb Randolph Interiors, with architecture by Christian Zapatka — features Carlisle Engineered White Oak in a chevron pattern.

What you're seeing is the finish we applied + what years of natural light, air, and daily life have done to real hardwood. That's patina. A gradual warming and softening that only genuine wood can develop — and that no surface-printed material can replicate.

Our Engineered floors carry a 4mm solid hardwood wear layer, the same center-cut White Oak as our solid planks. Over time, it ages the same way. Grows richer. More personal.

We’re getting more and more requests for pricing, exact designs, and quick ordering.

And while we understand the excitement, what we’ll always suggest first is this: connect with a Carlisle design consultant.

Because these floors are not one-size-fits-all.

Every project begins with questions that go far beyond color and price.

Will the home benefit more from solid or engineered construction?
Which species fits the environment and lifestyle best?
Should the floor feel more refined, more natural, or somewhere in between?
Would Original Grade, Heirloom Grade, or Signature Grade bring the right character to the home?
Is the project asking for long planks or a custom pattern?
Would a curated color work beautifully, or is this the moment for something entirely custom?

These are decisions that shape how a home feels for decades.

That’s why we guide clients through the process personally, whether in one of our showrooms in Boston, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Florida, or Stoddard, New Hampshire, or through our remote design team.

People often come in expecting to look at flooring. What surprises them is how emotional the experience becomes. The grain, the texture, the scale of the planks, the way the wood responds to light. It’s not uncommon for someone to stop mid-conversation just to run their hand across a board again.

We may have even seen a person or two hug a plank.
And honestly, we understand why.

Link in bio to our showrooms or message us and we’ll connect you to the right person.

Why do people choose prefinished, wide plank, hardwood floors by Carlisle?

Consistent color across a project — even when more than one wood species is used.
Faster installation. Color and finishing happen before the floor arrives on site, so the timeline moves.
Available in both solid and engineered hardwood structures, so the right choice for every environment is always within reach.
And always — made in the USA. Because every plank is produced here, widths and lengths are never constrained by what fits in a shipping container. MAS-Green Certified.
