In honor of Easter weekend: I present to you, The Bunny Collection 🐇 Dresser #2

This little guy is small but mighty. I knew the top and bottom trim pieces were just dating the piece and that I could add a little character back in in other ways- like adorable mid-century modern style legs!!

After a good sanding and puttying in some old holes from the old handles I painted it in paints Heritage Taupe. I gave it new k***s with a really cool and understated more modern vibe that match the metal on the new legs. They really tie the look all together!

Dimentions: 16.25"D x 30.5" W x 41.5" T

This dresser will avaliable starting at 6pm tonight as part of The Bunny Collection Launch.

In honor of this Easter weekend launch, I present to you- The Bunny Collection 🐇

The collection will become avaliable for purchase tonight at 6pm

Here is dresser #1 of the collection. As you can see from the before photo, it was structurally in decent shape just needed a face-lift! After a good sanding I painted it in a custom mix of General Finishes Persian Blue 💙 and Millstone and the top is stained in General Finishes Flint. Lastly, I deep cleaned all the original hardware in the crockpot and scrubbed them all to a nice new shine 🌟!

I feel like these pictures don't even do it justice, it is just such a soft, romantic piece now! I hope you love it!

Dimentions: 48.25" T x 20" D x 37.5" W

Both dressers I was working on are done and I will be posting BOTH for sale up on my website this weekend. Since they are going up for sale on Easter weekend, I found it only fitting to add a little bunny into the staging for both pieces 🐇!

❤️ Customer photos just make my heart HAPPY 😍!!

Melissa bought this upcycled metal card catalog from my at one of my original Barnhouse Market shows at my house way back in 2019 and was sweet enough to recently show me how she has kept it/styled it as a coffee bar over the year and updated it with the architecture of her houses she has lived in!

These were always so much fun to make! It makes me so happy to see them still being used with so much love! Thanks so much for sharing with us Melissa 😌!!

After all that time with my last custom order, I'm gonna be focusing on clearing out some pieces from my back stock and storage. That means some pieces will be coming up for sale on my site 📣📣!!

That being said, I have a work day today and I am hoping to dig into two different tall dressers for you all. Below is one of them. It has a lot of feminine details to it and in the past I have painted them a taupe-y pink and they have always been popular and sold well but I'm tempted to be creative and switch it up, what do you all think??

Finally the big reveal of this beauty for you all!

Marcia Hartung Newquist hired me to refinish her dining table to match the dining chairs they purchased. The deadline: get it done before she hosts her daughters bridal shower 👰‍♀!!

Lots of factors went into this project. Originally thought to be solid wood, it turned out the top actuslly had a fairly thin veneer on it so I knew I basically had one shot at it so that meant chemically stripping including an acetone bath to boot.

Then when we put on the first coat of oil based stain it just didn't give us the blackest black color payoff we wanted. Thankgoodness for my long time family friend and contact at General Finishes who was able to point me in the direction of switching over to their water-based black stain after a longer dry time to achieve the color we wanted!

Along this journey I got the stomach flu not once but TWICE along with a sick kiddo multiple times.

Big should out to Marcia and her family for their patience and trust with me thru this process. I know it can feel extra slow when I can really only work on things when my 2 year old is sleeping 😴.

Also, thanks so much for sending the photo of it all set up in your home! It looks so fantastic (in my completely unbiased option)

Oh Hey! 👋

Long time no "talk"! If you have been following along on my stories, you may have seen me working away on this custom table for Marcia Hartung Newquist and her family for the last few months.

I am happy to report that after all my little incremental hours during Ray's nap and sleep, the table is complete!! The full reveal will be coming in the 24 hours but in the mean time, enjoy this photo of where we started. 📸
