I haven't posted on this site for a while but good things are happening!! I have been selling my hand- painted furniture, featuring Chalk Paint™ Decorative Paint by Annie Sloan, at Consigners Collection, and recently the shop expanded to include "The Painting Parlour" where you can find me painting furniture every day, taking custom orders, and teaching furniture painting workshops/classes. We are having a Grand Opening ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday, Nov. 3,2012. The store, which sells used furniture and accessories on consignment, recently opened a companion space dedicated to furniture painting. The space, called the Painting Parlour, is next door to the shop at 1640 Norton Road.

Summer has definitely arrived new things are on the horizon! As many of you know, I have been selling my hand-painted furniture and working a few days a week at Consigners Collection in Hudson. Well exciting things are happening there....we are expanding into the shop next door and turning it into a showcase for hand-painted furniture and home decor items. Also, we will be selling ANNIE SLOAN CHALK PAINT, and I will be doing custom painting work. Bring in your own furniture to be painted or find a piece in the shop and I will paint it to your specifications. Also I will be teaching furniture painting and faux finishing classes, and giving demonstrations. Lisa and I are going to Dayton this week to pick up our first order of paint,specialty waxes and brushes, so stop in to see what's new!!!

I just finished this vintage bed tray makeover for a customer. It was originally a plain dull green. She wanted it to co-ordinate with her bedroom which is decorated in blue toile, so this is the hand-painted design I came up with. The customer was very pleased!

This bench is my latest project using ANNIE SLOAN CHALK PAINT. I used Paris Grey with accents of Old White, distressed and detailed with dark wax for a hand rubbed finish. The top was stripped and restained. I added a French advertising label, transferred, then hand-painted. The top on this bench lifts up to a storage space. This bench is available for purchase at Consigners Collection in Stow.

I just delivered these matching end tables to the shop. They have been hand -painted with ANNIE SLOAN CHALK PAINT in Old White, distressed to bring out the details and finished with hand rubbed wax. The top was stripped and restained. I forgot to take "before" pictures, but these are the "after" shots. They are available for sale at Consigners Collection in Stow.
