Granny Fricket's Thicket

Granny Fricket's Thicket Fricket's Folly is my take on this interesting sweater. It is perfect for chilly nights by the fire or for days when you just need a little extra warmth

Everything made with quiet care. Message me with questions or to order. More items to come

Here's a good challenge beautiful friends:
Send a message to a friend telling them something specific that you like about them and why you are grateful for their friendship.

It may feel cheesy and silly, but it will probably mean more to them than you know. ❤️

You know when it feels right, with people, or with situations. Your nervous system just feels safe. You get a feeling of alignment. Like this is where you belong.

You also know when something is off, even if you can’t put your finger on it. And though you may try to override that feeling, push through and do your best, there’s that nagging discomfort.

Pay attention to the messages/feedback you are getting, from the information, but also from your body. You know what you know, and when it’s right, you can be present in the moment, and be with it. The experience is the prize

Trust in that inner wisdom. Don’t override it - it’s a message from you to the deepest part of you. The invitation is to pay attention.

Drop a 💛if you are willing.

New Year... yep. New you? Eh, not so much. BUT... goal for the year... post (try to post?) at least once a week without going postal on anything. Hey... it's a goal. So... It's Thursday January 2, 2025. I have two, count em two, percolators of coffee on the stove. I'm midway through my second week in a row on pager duty and I know it will be THAT kind of day....

Cleveland Pagan Pride 2024... notes... thoughts... lessons learned...

1. Saturday dumping down rain most of the day.
* zip the sides of the tent before you stake down the tent
* install those sides as you are putting up the tent.
* learn from your friends... clear plastic shower curtains keep the rain from touching your tablecloths through the sides of the tent. Also... pool noodles can keep water from pooling... and Cameleons can be used to keep drips from getting on things if drips sneak through the roof.
* don't leave anything to chance if you can help it
* keep tables back from the front of the tent if possible
**** find a way to tent the back a bit to give a little extra room in the rain.
2. make sure you know where your stuff all is well in advance
3. Little Free Library (portable version) can make people cry.

Lessons Learned from Ohio Viking Festival...

Bring a T-Mobile hotspot if you don't have T-Mobile as a carrier because NOTHING else seems to work anywhere near the vendor area... and for some reason people prefer the option to being able to do digital payment. A lot want to to cash but having the option that might in any way be possible is a bonus. So many people last weekend had connectivity issues, and they were far far worse in the barn.

So... plan ahead for contingencies next year.

Hoping that, next year, we can get a spot in the barn again. While it was way less well ventilated than I would have liked (given miserably humid and temps in the 90s) , the table didn't blow away in the storms and the storms chased people in out of the weather into the shopping on Sunday.

The portable little free library was a huge hit. Looking at getting more books (children's book but also some YA and adult books for Pagan Pride(s) coming up and going forward.

Camping on site was amazing. Already getting ready to put money down for camping in September in case we get into Fall At The Round Barn in September, and maybe also Chillicothe Halloween in October.
