Ok, so it is "catch up" day! This is day 6 and 7 from Winter Wonderland Advent box. I have to say I am pleasantly surprised that the colors aren't all Christmas themed colors. I love the variety of colors I've opened so far!! One of my absolute favorite things about Yamir is her dying technique. It makes for such interesting patterns on the more colorful skeins!

It's day 4 people! This color is so very calming. This whole advent silk floss box is just a fun way to treat yourself one lovely day at a time! Congrats to Yamir of for her completing her first 50 mile run! I stitched for her , and I participated in the fabulous Jingle Ball 2023 put on by all at the same time.

Yay, it's day three!! This is a lovely silk from my Winter Wonderland Advent box from . Just like the children dreaming of sugar plums dancing in their heads in that classic Christmas story, I'm dreaming of all the possibilities this color can be used for in my stash of projects!

Just opened my Winter Wonderland advent box from ! First time doing this, and it is beautifully packaged! Scroll through the pics to see what the first lovely color is today! I'm going upstairs right now to see which project I'm going to use this on! Fantastic job Yamir!! Every day is going to be a treat!! Be sure to check out her plans for her big run this weekend!

Just finished my pre-stitching of Santa's Night Tree for the class for the upcoming Jingle Ball! Gotta find a backing fabric, as I changed the linen to one I had in my stash. It is 36 count Baby Seal by Dames of the Needle. I also jazzed it up with some metallic threads (treasure braid and petite silk lame)in the plaid, the date, and the snowflakes. I bought the whole kit, but I have to get some new metal snowflakes, as one of them was damaged during production. I also decided not to do any of the white window details in the smallest house.

Had several finishes this last week or two. Some just FOs and others are FFOs. The first is Cecil by back from the framer. The next one is Moon Phases (full moon option) by done on Tarnished Silver Opal by . The next is a class piece, "Confetti," from . So excited to pick these up from the post office today! These are the new Stitch Palettes booklets from ! They have a great website with a lot of the color palettes, but these booklets are super handy to have on hand for quick reference. They are great for those of us who want to change up color values and tones in our cross stitch pieces, surface embroidery as well as picking colors for needlepoint canvases. Highly recommend!

Say hello to Cecil! I finished him this weekend at our regional EGA seminar! This canvas was designed by . He was a 13 mesh canvas. I used a variety of silks, silk lame, neon rays, and beads. I found the lava beads on Etsy as well as the cabochon for his scarf. He is my third complete canvas and is my first large one. I'll probably end up framing him.
