A sneak peek into our Mount Pleasant project 🌿 We leaned into color while keeping things classic… almost an ombré effect of colors leading into one another. A perfect blend, you may say! Beautiful limestone floors will sit beneath custom cabinets painted in Farrow & Ball “Blue Gray”. We’ll have Classic Brass hardware and a marble countertop (not pictured) and the whole room will be wrapped in this incredible Phillip Jeffries wallpaper 👏🏼

SERVICE HIGHLIGHT | Consulting

This is perfect for anyone whose space is *almost there* or just feels off but you don't quite know why. OR if you have no idea where to even begin. Buy my time to ask my anything! I can point you in the right direction, help with layouts, paint color consultations, styling, accessorizing, furniture sourcing, material sourcing, etc... my time is yours!

Here is an example of before + afters for a remote consulting client located outside of Washington, D.C. The home itself is stunning and provided a great starting point. The layout is incredible, the natural light is plentiful, and the charm is there with French doors, oak flooring and crown molding throughout. But something just felt off. The client has great taste but needed help bringing it to the finish line.

-FORMAL DINING: This room was void of color but the client wanted to embrace the overall charm of the house. I immediately wanted to inject warmth, color, and layers into this room. We moved the tall case piece to the shorter wall and moved the large painting to the long blank wall, flanking it with sconces. We added a large scale vintage area rug as our colorful layered base and swapped the wood dining chairs for upholstered chairs to soften things up. The entire room was then color drenched in a warm and toasty color.

-LIVING ROOM: This room was almost there. They didn't want to replace much, and they didn't need to. My favorite part of this room is the entire span of French doors, but it was all feeling a little bit busy. I noticed two different gallery walls, two different (too small) area rugs... everything just felt like it was slightly too small and too much to just fill the space. We went with a less-is-more strategy and added a custom sized area rug that fit all legs of the furniture on it -- the proper way to do it! We swapped the back gallery wall for one singular piece of large scale art. It all feels much more scale-appropriate and like it has some breathing room.

Anyone can book my time for this service! I can do this both remotely and locally. I charge hourly with a two hour minimum! Book through my website today! sarahhartinteriordesign.com

Construction is a whole different language. Can you answer the following questions for your home?
•what height are we setting the rough-ins?
•how thick are the grout joints?
•LH or RH swing on interior doors?
•what drywall texture?
•what floor grade?
•label your floor transitions with floor thicknesses
•label all switching locations
•do your baseboards sit flush with the drywall or are they proud?
•inset vs overlay cabinets? standard overlay vs full overlay?
•glazed/bullnose tile edges or schluter? (freebie answer: it’s never schluter)
•where do you want blocking installed?

we mitigate the amount of questions asked by providing highly detailed construction plans… but questions on a job site are inevitable. with weekly check ins and on site milestone walks, we ensure every detail is considered.

if you want expert-level attention to detail, give us a call 👏🏼👏🏼
