Tall flowers are beautiful… until one good storm knocks them all over. 😂

Flower netting has become one of my favorite ways to support zinnias, dahlias, cosmos, scabiosa, Bells of Ireland, and other tall flowers in my cutting garden.
I specifically use heavy duty polyester trellis netting because I can reuse it year after year. I’m on season THREE with the same netting! Good for my budget and the environment.

If you want your zinnias to last, when you harvest them matters!

The wiggle test is the easiest way to know when a zinnia is mature enough to cut. And don’t be afraid to cut deep into the plant. Zinnias are cut-and-come-again flowers, so a good harvest encourages even more blooms.
