Dearest friends and fans of FMN,

It is with sad but hopeful hearts that we share some news and tough decisions with you.

Angel and I have decided this Valentines Day will be our last holiday to celebrate with you as a fully functional retail flower shop. We will close the doors as of March 1st. Going forward, we will be focusing our energy on weddings and events for the upcoming season at a private location.

This decision did not come easy. We’ve felt such purpose serving you throughout the last several years (we would’ve celebrated 8 years this summer!) it’s hard to imagine not being here in this capacity.

As luck would have it, our legendary delivery van, “Jan the Van”, has officially died right in time for Valentines Day. A sign from the universe perhaps? Delivery days will be limited to Fridays at this point in time. Please don’t hesitate to order flowers in the next couple weeks - we’d love to design something beautiful for you!

We will be having a store closeout sale sometime soon and will keep you posted as to when that will be.

If there are any kind words or memories you’d love to share, we’d love to hear them!

Endlessly grateful, pretty sad, but very hopeful for the future of this new chapter.

Hi friends! What a summer it’s been so far! Here’s a little glimpse of everything from daily orders, sympathy, and weddings.

We’re having a blast and loving all the seasonal goodies from our lovely local farmers. Leelanau County definitely grows the best blooms and we love that they come from various fields so close to us.

We’re here when you feel like sending someone something special or treating yourself to flowers of your own. Both options are always well worth it!

We wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who ordered beautiful things for the beautiful women in their lives last week.

Mother’s Day was a great success and we are so grateful for everyone who helped make this holiday so special.

None of this would have been possible without social medialess Brian Mitchell allowing us to store our flowers in his refrigerated semi truck because you know we’re obsessed with quality and care for these blooms.

Rory + Chelsea from and Alissa from helping catch us up on design and providing the most fun company for a couple days. Also, honorable mention to our other flower bestie Derek of for even considering us in his busy schedule. How cool is it that we’re all in the same industry but always work together as a team!?

Angels mom Jeanne, sister Lisa, and the amazing Kate of for being the most elite delivery crew.

It really does take a village but at a time when we really needed some help, we were beyond grateful for the friends who came running.

Mother’s Day always kicks off our busy season and we are so ready for it!

A friendly reminder that VALENTINES DAY is this coming Friday!

We’ve got all kinds of beautiful blooms to give to your person or even treat yourself to something lovely.

We’re delivering all over the county and have all sorts of things ready for in-store shopping and pick up.

We reached our top 5 brownie point winning pre-order customers last week (I always love to tell people that they were the first to order because they ALWAYS think they’re late, but no, they are among the elite)

Fear not, we’ll always have something for everyone but run, don’t walk.

We’re OPEN Tuesday-Friday 11-2, but FRIDAY we’ll be open until 5:30 for any (most common) last minute orders 😇😂

*try* not to be the guy who walks in the final hour asking “this is all you have??”….”no my dear, this is all we have LEFT”.. several brave souls took the time to think ahead and order before you so please enjoy the last single rose in the house 😇

The website is live and helpful but feel free to stop in if you’d like. The front cooler will be stocked with a range of options, all ready to go make someone feel extra special.

Hey friends! Happy Friday!

In case you missed it, we finally get to participate in the Suttons Bay Art + Wine Walk tonight as we are wedding free tomorrow! We haven’t been able to in a few years and are thrilled to join the fun!

We’re pouring delicious hard cider from Tandem Ciders! We’re featuring our own brilliant in house floral wizard artist Angel, who plans to make the whole back studio into an enchanted fall forest experience. We’re using the most beautiful locally grown dahlia from our bestie Orchard Breeze Flower Farm

We’ll have some artful floral creations ready for purchase as well as some other goodies Angel has been working on to showcase her talents and I’ll be there to chat your ear off 😂

Come see us and come have some fun tonight! If you have yet to visit our studio, now is the perfect chance!

It was a bit of a doozy because the hurricane kept our two big boxes of tent greenery stuck down south so we had to act fast to still bring the magic ✨

The flowers made up for the scramble and we walked away proud, but pretty tired 😴😅

Here’s some beauty that has gone out into the world lately in case you missed it!

This is one of our favorite times of year when we’re still hanging on to the bright and juicy summer color but starting to lean into the moodier and warmer shades of autumn. When the two come together it’s *chefs kiss*

We’ve had weddings and events straight thru since the end of July and are still crankin. It’s been a great summer as well as a great “locals summer” aka the best one.

Since we are pooped little florists asking for a couple days to regroup, we thought we’d THANK YOU by offering a giveaway from our big little hearts.

💥We’re going to stay closed Tuesday + Wednesday and reopen Thursday for the weekend 💥

Since we are all celebrating LABOR DAY leave a name in the comment section of someone who has labored themselves into deserving flowers as recognition. Is there a server or bartender you’ve seen working their buns off? Is there a stay at home mom that lives and breathes for her kids that could use a pick me up? Health care workers taking care of our senior community? We know they could all appreciate a thoughtful gesture via fresh cut flowers!

These dahlia are here to let you know we’ll be closed tomorrow, but with good reason!

Our biggest wedding of the season is this weekend so our little team is hunkering down to focus and build build build!

Can you believe it’s already Labor Day weekend!? 🤯

On Friday, I had a really terrible day, start to finish. Just one of those one thing after the other, nonstop, how bad could it be, on the verge of tears all day kind of days.

I woke up Saturday still feeling the day before but knew exactly what would make me feel better and hopefully kick this new day off on a positive note.

I went to see Angels creations. I knew we had some big stuff getting picked up that afternoon and since I left work before getting to see it, knew it would be worth the trip to the shop.

I open the doors to the cooler to find these gorgeous pieces, so thoughtfully put together with such beautiful color, style, and intention. My heart felt so full. Of love, of pride, of true admiration and appreciation.

This business was built from the love and respect I had for Angels talents and even all this time later, I’m still just as excited and inspired to see “what she will create next”. It still makes me happy to see it and I get to see it every day. No, it never gets old.

Flowers are flowers and have a small window of joy but you cannot deny the joy they always bring. We are so grateful that flowers and friendship have come together in such a way to spread this same joy to so many around us. I think those who get it really know how much love we pour into our work.

So on your worst days, love your friends and stare at flowers. Seems to work for me 🤷🏻‍♀️😂
