I’m Coming Back!

Dear Family, Friends, and Followers,

It’s been a while! I hope everyone is having a wonderful fall. I know some people may have questions about my brief disappearance so I am here to shed some light on what happened.

It is no secret that I struggle with a few mental health challenges. I am not ashamed of that. For around four or so years now, I have been in therapy, learning how to cope with my struggles and better myself as a person. And although I am accomplishing a lot and growing stronger every day, I, like most people, have my setbacks. At the time I started my business, my mental health was, unfortunately, not at its strongest. Shortly after, my anxiety took over and I became overwhelmed. I will be honest and say, I do not believe that I handled things well. Rather than sharing that I would be taking a break, I allowed myself to disappear. For this, along with the unanswered messages and emails, I apologize. A little while after, there was a moment that I wanted to come back, but I was afraid. Afraid of being overwhelmed, yes. But also, afraid of no longer being taken seriously.

Why am I sharing this with you? I am sharing this because I believe that anxiety and depression, or any mental health struggle for that matter, is never something to be ashamed of. It’s important to share these experiences not only to spread awareness of mental health issues, but also to let people know that they are NOT alone and that no matter the struggle, you CAN accomplish anything you put your mind to.

So I’m here to show people, along with myself, that I AM MORE THAN MY STRUGGLES. And so are you.

Here’s The Deal!
Yes, I’m coming back, but things are changing. I will be using this as a way to start over. You can read my bio for more information on what I will be offering and when, but for now, here are some things I’d like you to know:
- I will no longer be a commission-based business. Other than a few customizable items, I will simply be selling the things that I enjoy making the most.
- I am creating a website! Not yet available but coming soon!
- I have been taking sewing classes and will be adding some clothing and accessory items to my list!
- My goal is to open back up after I complete my current sewing class, so keep an eye out for an announcement.
- Be sure to check out my new logo, digitally designed by me!

Lastly, I would like to say thank you. Thank you to all those who have supported me in the past and for your ongoing support in the future. I appreciate everyone’s understanding. See you soon. 🥰

Being an artist, I struggle with perfectionism. Every line has to be straight. Every color must be realistic. Every piece has to be perfect. But what happens if the lines aren’t straight and the colors aren’t realistic and the piece isn’t perfect?

You wanna know what happens?

Nothing.

Nothing happens because art doesn’t have to be “perfect.” Art is expressive and meaningful and inspiring. It’s not homework or a math test. There is no right or wrong answer. There is only creativity. Just me, my paint, my brushes, and my imagination.

This is something I have to remind myself.

So to help, I have started a project. This is my first piece of many, part of a series called JUST ME! I hope you enjoy.
