I have been making spices, rubs, herb blends for 13 years. Family friend, Frank Collins, who owns and operates one of the most successful franchises Texas Roadhouse’s in Cheektowaga, NY. He asked me for a taste test. He suggested that I prepare lamb, chicken and beef. I advised him that my spices taste horrible. Frank responded, "Are you tasting the spices directly out of the bottle?" I replied, "

yes." Frank told me that all spices are like that, you have to season the food to get the real taste. We tinkered away in my kitchen mixing and seasoning the meat. Frank finally said, "Barb, I think you have something here." Barbara Merrick Peterson,
