Registration is open for my final basket weaving class at Rainy Day Yarns in Gig Harbo before they close their doors at the end of the year. If you’ve ever wanted to weave a basket — or just want one more cozy creative day in this sweet shop — this is your chance.

We’ll be making a sturdy, charming basket with a 10" x 10" base, 7" sides, and a tall hardwood handle. It’s beginner‑friendly, fun to weave, and you’ll get to add your own personality with rows of colorful reed from my full fall + holiday palette.

Use it to gather fruits and veggies, display dried flowers, or simply add handmade warmth to your home. And yes… you’ll head home with a finished basket you made yourself.

August is wrapping up, and I’m making my final push for Hike‑A‑Thon — both in miles and in fundraising for Washington Trails Association. I just returned from the Great Smoky Mountains, and being on those trails reminded me how important it is to care for the places we love.
