EMI is pleased to announce the following internal personnel promotions:

Robert Peck, AIA is being promoted to a Principal of the firm. He has also become an equal firm shareholder partner with Brad Innes, AIA.

Maribel Parzych ID is being promoted from an Associate Principal to a Principal of the firm.

Seth Coffin R.A. is being promoted from an Associate Principal to a Principal of the firm.

Vaughn Samuel is being promoted from an Associate to Senior Associate/IT Director - Design Visualization Specialist.

Jeff Teal is being promoted from an Associate to Senior Associate.

Colleen Derrick is being promoted from an Associate to Senior Associate.

EMI congratulates those individuals noted above and thanks each one of them for their many years of hard work and dedication. We work in a very difficult and demanding profession and their constant striving to make our work meaningful and well considered is greatly appreciated. Well done indeed!

Thank you to Maclay School for the opportunity to design the latest addition to their beautiful campus. We are proud to share photos of the recently completed Rahangdale Center for Mathematics + Ai !

Designed to encourage a sense of calm and serenity, our hope is that the building serves as a counterbalance to the challenges often associated with learning—and teaching—mathematics. Outdoor shaded seating and sounds from a burbling water feature, together with a vibrant “bioswale” stretching deep into a trellis-covered terrace serve to soften the edges of a rigid curriculum while reinforcing the importance of our natural environment.

Additionally, there is one other important aspect of the space that allows for a heightened level of relaxation: ROBOTS! The AI Lab is alive with student-created electronic creatures, and a sliding glass wall allows them to spill out to different locations around the building. (Rock on Mr. G!)

With its recent grand opening, the new building is now ready to welcome the next generation of Marauder mathematicians!

One of the best traditions in architecture, the annual EMI Fish Fry, signifies the start of spring and celebrates another year of work with delicious fish, hush puppies, and all the fixin's! Thanks to all who continue to make this great afternoon happen, including our five-star chefs, Vaughn, Jeff, and Maribel.

April has brought some beautiful weather and a chance to enjoy yearly events including the AIA/ABC Golf Tournament and the Inland/Sunstop Charity Golf Tournament. We always appreciate the opportunity to spend time with our great consultants, coworkers, and clients—especially when the days are this lovely. Thank you to AIA/ABC and Sunstop for their continued support. See you next year!
