I’ve not done any vendor markets this year as was just exhausted by creating and selling means this year. Also, the economy isn’t the best. However, I am looking forward to the annual Art on the Farm event (at First Ladies Farm and Sanctuary) in early December and have been whipping through unfinished paintings and framing some in readiness. Jasper seems to be happy with them, especially the cat painting 😁 My studio is like a tip!

The latest watercolour from The Cwtch. Quint asked if he could pose, so I let him sit for it 😉 I think I’ll name it “Burning Bright” as a homage to William Blake’s poem “Tyger”. This Tyger is ready to gobble me up I think! Quint is happy with a few Dreamies snacks thankfully!

Captain Quint is absolutely exhausted today after various attempts to cause kitty chaos in The Cwtch! I’ve been trying to photograph some of my clay earrings to get them onto my new page for clay, soon to be launched! He’s been trying to “help” but I managed to get him to take a break!

I’ve also been working on more watercolours and I’m looking into getting some prints of them available, ready for online sale AND I’ll also be selling the originals (but they’ll cost a bit more obviously!). More info coming soon!

In the meantime, enjoy this big, ginger wonder! ☺️

It’s the time when it gets super hot in Florida and of yes, there are sometimes hurricanes too!

It’s too hot to work with resin in the garage so this is a time I usually retreat to “the Cwtch” (my art room) and paint.

Anyway I did an online workshop last week and painted a heron, which I was very pleased with. So much so that I then painted a pelican! I can feel my “feather period” starting lol 😄

I used to be scared of watercolour but after 54 years of life, the basic rules finally seem to be sinking in (like water into a nice cold pressed sheet of watercolour paper!). 😂 I like slapping on acrylic paint but I also really love the delicacy and also the bold shapes and textures you can get with the humble watercolour! It’s also less messy (I hate cleaning up!).

I know the signatures are a little different - but they are both me (I just need to do more practice in painting my signature!) 😄


This year I’m also going to be working on a separate page for my clay jewellery and other clay things I want to try, in addition to this page. I’m not ready yet, but the new page seems to be viewable anyway! (I’m not great at FB tech, so I’m not sure why I can’t make it private just to me while I work on it. 🫣 I guess I need to take some jewellery photos!

No walking for me today as my body definitely needs a break before our vendor market in Summerfield tomorrow. I did however manage to finish off some teeny paintings instead, which feel very springtastic to me. Summerfield Spring-Tastic Vendor Market Fair

I can definitely feel more magnolia and flower paintings coming soon.
