Turtle-friendly lighting takes more than an amber glow. 

On projects near sea turtle nesting beaches, follow FWC’s three rules: keep it low, long, and shielded. Use the lowest practical mounting height and only the output needed, select LEDs that emit only wavelengths of 560 nm or greater, and direct the light down with the source hidden from the beach.
