One of our jobs that is a little out of the ordinary. A 1924 Mizner-esque home on Snell Island. The client was very trusting, and open to the blending of old and new. There wasn’t a part of this project we didn’t have our hands on. Doors, windows, flooring, furniture, lighting, elevator, painting, hard scape, etc. We replicated as much of the original structure and details, along with other additions. Exquisite cabinetry by Bright Woodworks, construction by Bayside Building, specialty finishes by Splat Paint, and landscape by Argentine Landscape. It is now on the market

A few years back, we were privileged to do a remodel/addition to an original design by Dan Duckam. This was the 1972 Culbreth home in Lutz, and not too far from his Palmer house, also designed around that time. Dan is such a talented architect, and Artist, working in Fort Lauderdale for years, and then moved to Cashiers, North Carolina. I met him in 1984 at his home and studio there in Fort Lauderdale, and discussed my desire, then to have a career change which eventually led me to live and work at Taliesin.

More on the Snell Isle house. A 3 year renovation is coming to an end and Splat Paint & Design has done an excellent job creating our design. Here, the front door has been finished to look like natural Coral
Rock. Thanks to Tom Henman, for an excellent ex*****on.
