So… I taught everyone how to make their own plaster figurines…

and now my DIY kit orders have slowed down. 😂

I’m telling myself it’s just summer break…

But I can’t help wondering if you’re all at home making your own now. 🤣

If that’s the case… I’m both proud and slightly concerned. 😂

See you all when school starts! 🍎✨

Sometimes all it takes is one bag of plaster and one crazy idea. 🌸 I’m so glad I believed in mine.

I have a confession… 😅

My workspace is usually a complete mess. 😂

But social media is where we come for inspiration, good vibes, and pretty videos… so of course I only show you the beautiful angles. ✨

Just know that behind the camera, I’m a total mess. 🤣🩷

I’ve noticed a lot of new followers lately, so I wanted to answer one of the questions I get asked the most. 😊

Plaster figurines stay in the mold for 20–40 minutes, depending on the size and design. After that, they need to dry for 3–5 days. The exact drying time depends on the size of the figurine, as well as the temperature and humidity of the room.

I don’t add anything to my plaster mix to make the figurines whiter, and I don’t paint them white before selling them.

As the plaster dries completely, it naturally turns white.

If your figurines are still gray, or you notice condensation inside the bag after packaging, they simply haven’t dried long enough.

I use Plaster of Paris from Home Depot.

If you’d like to learn more about my process and all the little details that make a difference, you’ll find everything in my Etsy guide or through my Facebook subscription, where I share my complete process, step-by-step tips, and techniques. 🤍

Funny enough, most of the people who tell me this are men 😅

And honestly, if I sold ONE $4 kit, they’d be right. But that’s not how my business works.

Most of my customers are moms and grandmas ordering 10–20 kits at a time for birthday parties, classroom events, and holidays.

I also have wholesale customers ordering 100+ figurines.

The key isn’t the price of one kit.

The key is volume.

A lot of people look at one sale and decide whether a business can work.

Business owners look at the bigger picture.

As a mom of two, including a toddler at home, I wasn’t looking for a million-dollar business overnight.

I was looking for something flexible that I could build around my family, on my own schedule.

And that’s exactly what this business has given me.

One $4 kit isn’t a business.

Hundreds of kits are.

🚗 The party favor boys actually get excited about.

I bet your little boys haven’t painted plaster cars like these before! 🎨

A fun, creative activity and a party favor they’ll actually use instead of tossing aside.

🩷 It’s been one month since I launched my Facebook subscription!

Over the past month, I’ve shared answers to the most common questions about making plaster figurines: mixing ratios, how to reduce sanding, how to avoid bubbles, and how to make figurines stronger and more durable.

As I mentioned from the beginning, one month is enough to learn the basics and get answers to the most frequently asked questions. So there’s absolutely no pressure to renew your subscription after the first month 🩷

In the coming days, I’ll repost the main tutorial videos so they’re easier to find, since the most important ones were shared at the very beginning and are now buried in the feed.

I’ll also continue sharing behind-the-scenes content, new experiments, tips, and answering your questions.

So, month two is officially open! 🩷 If you enjoy learning through video content and following my creative process, I’d love to have you here.

And if you decide to renew your subscription and continue supporting me, I truly appreciate it and am very grateful for your support ❤️

If you’ve been with me during this first month, I’d love to hear your thoughts! If you’ve enjoyed the subscription, please leave a quick comment and share your experience. Your feedback means the world to me and helps others decide if this subscription is right for them 🩷✨

🐛 My Facebook subscribers will find out tonight what secret these caterpillars are hiding… 👀✨

Until then, come make them with me!

I gave myself a few days to recharge, and now I’m back in the studio pouring plaster again. 💛

Help me decide: what paint colors should go in the kit? 🎨🌈
