One of the most common questions I get is: “What should I put on my large sliding glass doors?”

The good news is there are several options available, but by far our most popular solution is roller shades!

Roller shades are a clean, modern option that work beautifully on large openings. Depending on the size of your sliding glass doors, we can often use one large shade or multiple shades side-by-side for the best functionality and appearance.

We recently installed white roller shades on these front doors, and I love how seamlessly they blend right into the door frame. When they’re up during the day, they practically disappear, keeping the clean look of the entryway intact.

The best part? Privacy when you need it. At night, when the lights are on and it’s easy for neighbors or passersby to see inside, the shades can be lowered in seconds. During the day, they roll right back up to let in natural light and maintain the open feel of the home.

It’s one of those design choices that combines function and style perfectly—giving homeowners privacy without sacrificing the beauty of their front entrance.

Nothing beats a cozy kitchen.

Real Talk: Owning your own business is not easy.

I know every job comes with its own challenges, so you kind of have to pick your hard.

Before this, I was a 1st grade teacher. When I decided to expand my dad’s business from Boca Raton to Tampa, I thought it would just be something I’d do here and there around my 3 kids’ schedules, a side hustle and a way to make some extra money. I figured maybe I’d eventually go back to teaching or find something else.

Years later, here I am.

The funny thing is, I’m so hard on myself that I often don’t even think I’m doing well. I go through so many ups and downs in my own head wondering if I’m actually good at this whole business thing. Then one day I’m in Mexico being celebrated for my sales, and it kind of wakes me up. I think, “Oh... maybe I really can do this because I AM doing this.”

Owning a business can feel like WHIPLASH. Some days you feel on top of the world. Other days you have a challenging client, make a costly mistake, or your phone just isn’t ringing. One day you’re stressed about where the next lead is coming from, and the next you’re booking jobs and feeling unstoppable. Some days you can take off and go to the beach all day. Other days you’re working on quotes and orders until 1 a.m.
That’s why I always say: pick your hard.

I grew up sitting in my dad’s showroom after school every day, watching him work hard to support our family and send me and my brothers to college. I saw the grind, the stress, and the mental load that came with running a business. Back then, I was sure I didn’t want that life.

It’s funny how life works out, because here I am years later doing exactly that.

Looking back, I can see that every twist and turn brought me here. Not everything has gone according to plan, but maybe that’s the point. Sometimes the things we never expected become the things we’re most proud of.

While I still don’t know exactly where this journey is taking me, I’m learning that not having all the answers is okay. Here’s to the unknown, to taking chances, and to seeing what happens when you keep showing up. 🥂

I get so excited when a client wants to go with something bold, fun, and a little unexpected because those are always the projects that completely transform a space.

When this gorgeous black fabric was selected for these motorized roller shades, I already knew the end result was going to feel sleek, elevated, and custom and even a little boho in the best way.
