Would there be an interest if I offered instructor led workshops 1x - 2x a month (1 weekday morning date, 1 weekend morning date) during normal shop hours where everyone (a group of 8-12 people, ages 12 and up) each work on the same type of pottery where underglaze transfers are incorporated onto your piece?

For the workshop, you'd register ahead of time and pick your transfer(s) and background ahead of time as well (all done online), that way the day of the workshop, everyone's transfers are already pre-cut out and ready.

For reference, heres a few pieces I've done over the past week.

Ideas would be canisters, mugs, travel tumblers, trinket trays, small platters, plant stakes, trivets, vases, planters, picture frames, soap dispensers, seasonal themed items, etc. Each workshop would offer one type.

If you're interested in using underglaze transfers independently , I do have a binder behind the counter that you can ask us to look through and purchase individually . Please keep in mind that workshops will have access to a much wider variety of transfers and backgrounds and will be instructor led rather than fully independent.

Its that time of month again to announce the non-profit that the shop will donate a portion of sales from the month.
For May, it was Ahimsa Safe Haven based in Onsted, and I was able to donate $260.90
For June, I've chosen Michigan Duck Rescue and Sanctuary
Mike helped me several months ago when we had snow on the ground, when I found an injured goose on my way to work, and helped me catch it for rehab. And a few weeks ago I reached out to him asking if he had any adult ducks for adoption and was gracious enough to bring down 7 for my flock. If you're not already familiar with either rescue, I highly recommend you give them a follow! And if you have nothing else going on tomorrow, come to the shop and paint something and go to Ahimsa's "open house" sanctuary day! (More info on their FB page!)

It's coming together! Once the fencing is done, and the outdoor seating is fully enclosed, we'll be opening up the patio area in case youd rather paint outside.

We'll put up a followup post once our outdoor seating is officially open, but I'm pretty exicted so far to see how its coming along and I hope yall are, too! 🤩
