Baby steps... 👣

While I wish I had more time to dedicate to focusing on a task, the reality is that sometimes I only get an hour or two to work in the shop.

Someone told me today, "You're so... BUSY." Yes, I am, but I make the most of what time I have by separating steps and tasks into smaller, more digestible parts.

Build a new frame cross brace? That's many steps: remove, buy, measure, cut, carve, sand, stain, gloss, drill, reattach, glue, clamp, wait.

Reupholster a chair? Remove, de-staple, wrap, measure, cut, fit, stretch, re-staple, hammer, iron, replace.

This is the work behind the scenes that my customers pay for, and they deserve every small frame of time I have to dedicate to building (or rebuilding) their furniture.
