Big news to share: I’ve been named Artisan Atelier Director for IWCE 2027! 🎉
The Artisan Atelier has been one of my favorite places in our industry for years, as a teacher and as a part of this community. I’m honored to lead it this March in Tampa.
First, a heartfelt thank-you to Sandra VanSickle, who led the Artisan Atelier for the past six years. Her generosity, creativity and commitment to bringing makers together shaped this program into what it is today, and I’m grateful to build on that foundation.
New for 2027: the Hands-On Studio is bigger than ever! Seven focused, 60-minute classes where you work right alongside experienced instructors: round table skirts, ripplefold snap tape prep, Roman shade safety and mechanisms, pinch pleats, banding and mitered corners, relaxed Roman shades, and couture rosettes, choux and bows. Hands-On classes are ticketed with only 20 seats each, and they’re listed with the classroom seminars when you register. These are sure to sell out fast so check out the full descriptions in the website.
The rest of the Artisan Atelier (live Table demos, panels and Eyes & Ears presentations) is still free on the show floor, March 15–16. Stay tuned for details about these fantastic sessions and speakers!
